I have been slowly building up my stock of my favorite Robert Kaufman linens the past few months. The quality and style are top of the line and are so versatile. You may see them being used in quilts and garment sewing, but did you know they are awesome for handbag and accessory making?
Last year I started stocking their Essex Yarn Dyed Linens in my Etsy shop. They have been a great seller for me and I use it often in my custom orders. In February though, I received notice that RK was going to offer Essex Linens in Metallic. I ordered a few bolts, and today I’m happy to say these pretties are all finally here and in stock at Raspberry Sunshine!
Their are 8 metallics in this collection, with a combination of silver and gold. My shop now carries in silver: (see above t-b) Ebony, Oyster, and Midnight, and….
(See above t-b) Sand and Storm in Gold.
No amount of Photoshopping can show how pretty this fabric is. It sparkles in the sun and looks so classy! I was worried at first if it would be too much, but it’s really not. You’re going to love it!
Don’t forget, in addition to my metallics I also sell Exxex Yarn Dyes (no metallics) in:
So if you are looking for a new type of fabric to use in your custom handbags and creations, give these a try. They make beautiful bags on their own or as strapping and accents!
